Registration for the Roselle Park Public Schools

The Roselle Park School District is a public school system serving students in grades pre-k through 12.

  • The Pre-k program is limited and determined by a lottery system each winter.  The lottery system is open to students who will turn 3 or 4 on or before October 1st. Due to limited capacity Pre-K students are not guaranteed placement in their homeschool. Please note: an entering 3 year old student will need to complete 2 years in the PreK program and will not be admitted into Kindergarten until the year in which they are 5 on or before October 1st (as per Board of Education Policy 5112). The PreK lottery closed on 2/28/25 and families were notified in March.    Families of PreK aged students who did not participate in the lottery, may complete the pre-registration process for access to the waitlist.

  • Full day kindergarten is free and available to all residents who will turn 5 on or before October 1st (exceptions to the entrance age will not be made as per Board of Education Policy 5112).  Priority registration for homeschool placement closed on 3/24/25 (homeschool placement is not guaranteed and will be contingent on available space).  Families may continue to pre-register for Kindergarten.  Registration appointments will be held during the month of April and will continue through the summer.

  • First graders must turn 6 on or before October 1st (exceptions to the entrance age will not be made as per Board of Education Policy 5112).

Students are placed in elementary schools based on program and seat availability.

The Roselle Park School District consists of 5 schools, including three elementary schools, one middle school and one high school.

A free and appropriate education is available to all ROSELLE PARK residents aged 5-20 and to certain students under 5 and over 20 as determined by the law.
