Hello and welcome! I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Megan Ripka and I am very excited to be starting my seventh year in the Roselle Park School District this September.
I graduated with my Bachelor's degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania. In May of 2014 I completed my program at Seton Hall University and have obtained my Master's degree in Special Education with a concentration in Autism Studies.
Outside of school I love to spend time reading, especially in the summer when I can spend some time down the shore! Two of my all time favorite books are Tuesdays with Morrie and Pride and Prejudice. I also enjoy watching sports. You can always find me cheering on my favorite baseball team, the New York Yankees!
I also enjoy taking time to travel and see new places. One of my very favorite trips was in the summer of 2013 when I went to Northern Ireland for my cousin's wedding. I have been fortunate enough to have made a few trips there to visit family, most recently I went again this summer! Not only did I get to spend time with my family this summer, but I was able to see some of the sights. We walked through the cities of Dublin and Belfast, as well as traveling up the north coast to Dunluce Castle, Carrick-a-Rede, and the Giant's Causeway (just to name a few!).
Now that you know a little bit about me, I cannot wait to learn about all of my friends at school!
