2003 Dad’s Club Scholarship Recipients 

1.     A scholarship of two hundred and fifty dollars ($250.00) per year to a male and female member of the graduating class intending to continue studies in an accredited junior college or four-year college.  This scholarship is for a two or four year period contingent upon the maintenance of the scholarship requirements of the school attended.  Selection will be made by a committee composed of the high school principal, high school guidance counselor and non-school member of the Dad’s Club.  Selection will be based on academic ability (50%), character (30%), leadership (15%), and extracurricular participation (5%).  The recipients of this award must have been a varsity athletic letter winner for more than one (1) year.

  1. One hundred dollars ($100.00) to one (1) girl and one (1) boy in the graduating class who have the highest scholarship averages over a four-year period and have won a letter or letters as a player.

3.     Two (2) one hundred dollar ($100.00) awards to a male and female member of the graduating class intending to go on to a two-year college.  This award is strictly on academic achievement and the recipients are determined by the high school scholarship committee.

4.     Four (4) two hundred dollar ($200.00) award to two male and two female members of the graduating class intending to go on to a four-year college.  This award is strictly on academic achievement and the recipients determined by the high school scholarship committee.

5.     Four (4) one hundred dollar ($100.00) awards to two male and two female athletes intending to further their education and, in the opinion of the committee, best exemplifies the best leadership and academic qualities of a student/athlete.

6.     Two (2) one hundred dollar ($100.00) scholarships to one male and one female members of the Marching Band.

7.     A scholarship award will be setup from the proceeds of Dad’s Club Golden Gloves fund to award annually an additional two (2) one hundred dollar ($100.00) scholarships to one male and one female athletes intending to further their education.  This scholarship award will be known as the Dad's Club Frank and Tony Orlando Memorial Scholarships.  The criteria for this award is to be a sibling of a Dad’s Club member and will be awarded by the Dad’s Club Golden Gloves committee.
